Glow and Glow Action Fund

Greenmount Life Opportunity & Wellness (GLOW) is a collaborative, multi-year initiative that focuses on improving the quality of life for all residents by meeting the needs of the most vulnerable residents who live along the historically disinvested Greenmount Avenue corridor – in the Barclay, East Baltimore Midway, Greenmount West, and Harwood neighborhoods.

GLOW’s goals are to:

1. Improve community health by ensuring every resident has access to primary, preventative, and behavioral healthcare. 

2. Ensure every young person has access to high-quality out-of-school-time opportunities that enrich them personally, academically, or economically. 

3. Ensure every resident has access to nutritious food and eliminate food insecurity for all families living in Central Baltimore.

The GLOW Initiative incorporates the GLOW Action Fund, which provides support for pilot programs and collaborations to achieve the three primary goals of GLOW. This tool is intended to elevate the work of neighborhood providers who want to expand their work to improve public health.
